PS6’s iconic red doors invite families inside to explore our school facilities. From the vibrant classrooms and creative spaces to our state-of-the-art rooftop Eco Center, every corner is designed with intention.

EcoCenterEco Center

The PS6 Eco Center is a hub of environmental learning and hands-on discovery, providing students with unique opportunities to explore nature, science, and sustainability. Our state-of-the-art greenhouse is a model of sustainable design featuring renewable energy, compost, harvested rainwater, aeroponics, and locally grown food.

 

LibraryLibrary

The PS6 library, revitalized in February 2025, is an curated space where a love for reading takes center stage. Students in the lower grades benefit from weekly instruction, and all students are welcome to borrow books. Our collection includes fiction, nonfiction, biographies, graphic novels, and picture books – something for every reader to enjoy.

GymGymnasium

The PS6 gymnasium is a bright, large space where students enjoy their weekly Physical Education classes. Beyond PE, the gym serves as a hub for school spirit and community connection – hosting everything from basketball tournaments and dance parties to yoga nights and student showcases.

 

MusicMusic Room

The music room at PS6 offers a dedicated environment for students to explore their musical passions, whether through performance, composition, or study, fostering a love for music and its diverse expressions. Holding a variety of instruments – including percussion, world, and soundscape – the music space is incorporated directly into the curriculum.

AuditoriumAuditorium

The PS6 auditorium is a lively performance venue that features striking red curtains that frame the stage. Students utilize the multi-purpose space for a range of productions, including arts programming and talent shows. The state of the art sound system ensures that every performance resonates with clarity. The auditorium also hosts curriculum night, special friend day, and other community building events.

Art StudioArt Studio

The PS6 art room buzzes with endless creative possibilities! Students explore engaging projects that inspire the imagination and develop artistic skills. Whether painting, crafting, or experimenting with mixed media, the art studio encourages students to think creatively, take risks, and express themselves. In our art room, every child is an artist, and every creation tells a story!
