School Leadership Team
The School Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of people who develop the educational policies for PS6. They also make sure there are resources to support those policies.
SLTs are composed of PS6 staff, teachers, and parents. Together, the SLT works collaboratively to develop the School’s Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). The SLT is the primary means by which parents work with the school administration to establish school priorities, ensure the budget is aligned with those priorities, and evaluate our school's progress.
There are four parent members of the SLT in addition to the PTA President. They are elected at PTA elections in the spring and serve staggered two year terms. The School Principal, the School’s UFT representative, and three additional members of the PS6 teaching staff also serve on the SLT.
For more information, see Chancellor’s Regulation A-655.
